A guide to uninstall Tenable Nessus from your computer

Tenable Nessus is a Windows program. Read more about how to remove it from your PC. The Windows version was created by Tenable Network Security, Inc.. You can read more on Tenable Network Security, Inc. or check for application updates here. Please follow http://www.tenable.com if you want to read more on Tenable Nessus on Tenable Network Security, Inc.'s page. Usually the Tenable Nessus program is installed in the C:\Program Files\Tenable\Nessus folder, depending on the user's option during setup. You can uninstall Tenable Nessus by clicking on the Start menu of Windows and pasting the command line MsiExec.exe /I{6B341AC4-64D3-454B-93BA-5D4D86D62C0B}. Keep in mind that you might get a notification for administrator rights. nessus-service.exe is the Tenable Nessus's primary executable file and it takes close to 15.97 KB (16352 bytes) on disk.

The following executables are installed together with Tenable Nessus. They take about 11.49 MB (12051392 bytes) on disk.

After the uninstall process, the application leaves some files behind on the PC. Some of these are shown below.

You should delete the folders below after you uninstall Tenable Nessus:

• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Tenable Network Security\Nessus

The files below remain on your disk by Tenable Nessus when you uninstall it:

How to uninstall Tenable Nessus from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Tenable Nessus is an application by the software company Tenable Network Security, Inc.. Sometimes, computer users choose to uninstall it. 3. Press the General Tools category


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs tool


5. A list of the applications existing on the PC will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you locate Tenable Nessus or simply activate the Search feature and type in "Tenable Nessus". If it exists on your system the Tenable Nessus app will be found automatically. When you select Tenable Nessus in the list , the following information regarding the application is shown to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have regarding Tenable Nessus, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the application you are about to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

For example you can see that for Tenable Nessus:

• The uninstall string is: MsiExec.exe /I{6B341AC4-64D3-454B-93BA-5D4D86D62C0B}

7. Press the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will come up. accept the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall Tenable Nessus.


8. After uninstalling Tenable Nessus, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items of Tenable Nessus which have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing Tenable Nessus with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your computer.

Your computer will remain clean, speedy and able to take on new tasks.
