Multipass is a Windows program. If you are manually uninstalling Multipass we advise you to check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

You should delete the folders below after you uninstall Multipass:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\multipass
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\multipass

The files below remain on your disk when you remove Multipass:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\multipass\multipass.conf
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\multipass\client-certificate\multipass_cert.pem
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\multipass\client-certificate\multipass_cert_key.pem
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\multipass-gui\client-certificate\multipass_cert.pem
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\multipass-gui\client-certificate\multipass_cert_key.pem
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\multipass-gui\first_run

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be removed; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Multipass
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\EventLog\Application\Multipass
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Multipass

Open regedit.exe in order to remove the following values:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\bam\State\UserSettings\S-1-5-21-3373697858-488562574-3865834042-1001\\Device\HarddiskVolume1\Program Files\Multipass\bin\multipass.gui.exe
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Multipass\DisplayName
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Multipass\ImagePath

A way to erase Multipass with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Multipass is an application offered by canonical. Some users want to uninstall this program. Sometimes this is hard because doing this manually takes some experience regarding Windows internal functioning. The best SIMPLE approach to uninstall Multipass is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows PC, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is one of the best uninstaller and all around utility to take care of your Windows PC.

• navigate to Download Link
• download the setup by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to get familiar with the program's design and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful system utility.

3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Press the Uninstall Programs feature


5. All the applications existing on your PC will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate Multipass or simply activate the Search field and type in "Multipass". The Multipass application will be found automatically. When you select Multipass in the list of applications, the following information about the application is made available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have about Multipass, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the application you wish to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for Multipass:

• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files\Multipass\Uninstall.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will appear. Confirm the uninstall by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove Multipass.


8. After removing Multipass, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Press Next to start the cleanup. All the items that belong Multipass which have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing Multipass with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your disk.

Your Windows system will remain clean, speedy and able to take on new tasks.
