A guide to uninstall MEmu from your PC

MEmu is a Windows program. If you are manually uninstalling MEmu we suggest you to check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be uninstalled; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\MEmu

Open regedit.exe in order to delete the following registry values:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Program Files\Microvirt\MEmu\MEmu.exe.FriendlyAppName
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Program Files\Microvirt\MEmu\MEmuConsole.exe.FriendlyAppName
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\G:\MEmu\MEmu.exe.FriendlyAppName
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\G:\MEmu\MEmuConsole.exe.FriendlyAppName
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\G:\MEmu\MEmuUpdate.exe.ApplicationCompany

A way to erase MEmu with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

MEmu is a program offered by the software company Microvirt. Sometimes, people decide to erase it. 3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs feature


5. All the applications existing on the PC will appear

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find MEmu or simply activate the Search field and type in "MEmu". If it exists on your system the MEmu application will be found automatically. Notice that after you select MEmu in the list of apps, the following data about the program is available to you:

• Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have about MEmu, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details about the application you wish to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will show up. Confirm the uninstall by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall MEmu.


8. After removing MEmu, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items of MEmu that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling MEmu using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your system.
