Google Updater has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

The files below remain on your disk when you remove Google Updater:
  • C:\Program Files\Google\Google Updater\GoogleUpdater.exe

Open regedit.exe in order to remove the following registry values:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Program Files\Google\Google Updater\GoogleUpdater.exe


How to delete Google Updater from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find Google Updater or simply click the Search feature and type in "Google Updater". If it exists on your system the Google Updater application will be found automatically. Notice that after you select Google Updater in the list of applications, the following data about the program is available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have about Google Updater, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
