When you're planning to uninstall Box you should check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

Directories left on disk:

• C:\Program Files\Box\Box

The files below were left behind on your disk by Box's application uninstaller when you removed it:

• C:\Program Files\Box\Box\BoxShellExtShim-2.19.294.dll
• C:\Windows\Installer\{C1A6C984-4C0F-4C47-8DAD-5745EA8BC101}\boxicon_1.exe

Registry that is not uninstalled:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{C1A6C984-4C0F-4C47-8DAD-5745EA8BC101}

Use regedit.exe to remove the following additional registry values from the Windows Registry:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Folders\C:\Program Files\Box\Box\
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Folders\C:\WINDOWS\Installer\{C1A6C984-4C0F-4C47-8DAD-5745EA8BC101}\
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\BoxUpdateSvc\ImagePath

How to erase Box from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Box is an application marketed by the software company Box, Inc.. Sometimes, computer users decide to erase this application. Sometimes this is hard because removing this manually requires some skill related to removing Windows applications by hand. One of the best SIMPLE way to erase Box is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful package of tools.

3. Press the General Tools category


4. Press the Uninstall Programs button


5. A list of the programs existing on the PC will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you locate Box or simply activate the Search feature and type in "Box". If it is installed on your PC the Box program will be found automatically. Notice that when you click Box in the list of apps, some data about the program is available to you:

• Safety rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other people have about Box, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details about the app you wish to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will show up. Confirm the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall Box.


8. After removing Box, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Press Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of Box which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By removing Box with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry items, files or folders are left behind on your computer.
