How to uninstall Aurora from your computer

Aurora is a Windows program. Many files, folders and Windows registry data will not be uninstalled when you remove Aurora from your PC.

The files below are left behind on your disk by Aurora when you uninstall it:
  • C:\Program Files\AuroraBrowser\Aurora.exe

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the keys below:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mht
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Clients\StartMenuInternet\Aurora.exe

Use regedit.exe to delete the following additional values from the Windows Registry:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\chprogid\DefaultIcon\
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\chprogid\Shell\open\command\
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\htmlfile\DefaultIcon\
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\htmlfile\shell\open\command\


How to uninstall Aurora from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Aurora is an application marketed by the software company AuroraBrowser.COM. Some users decide to erase this program. 5. All the applications existing on the computer will appear

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find Aurora or simply click the Search feature and type in "Aurora". If it is installed on your PC the Aurora app will be found very quickly. When you select Aurora in the list of applications, some information about the application is made available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have about Aurora, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details about the app you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will appear. Confirm the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall Aurora.

8. After uninstalling Aurora, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong Aurora that have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing Aurora with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry items, files or directories are left behind on your computer.
