How to uninstall vPilot from your PC

If you are manually uninstalling vPilot we recommend you to check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

Folders left behind when you uninstall vPilot:

Usually, the following files are left on disk:

  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\vPilot\Ninject.dll

Many times the following registry data will not be cleaned:
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\DirectInput\VPILOT.EXE5577ACA3000C0800
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\vPilot
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\vPilot

Use regedit.exe to delete the following additional values from the Windows Registry:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\users\UserName\appdata\local\vpilot\vpilot.exe
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\vPilot\DisplayIcon
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\vPilot\DisplayName

A way to uninstall vPilot with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

vPilot is a program released by Ross Carlson. Frequently, users decide to remove this program. Take the following steps on how to do this:

3. Press the General Tools category

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find vPilot or simply activate the Search field and type in "vPilot". The vPilot program will be found automatically. Notice that after you click vPilot in the list of applications, the following information about the program is made available to you:


  • Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other users have about vPilot, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information about the application you want to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will show up. Confirm the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall vPilot.

8. After removing vPilot, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items of vPilot that have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling vPilot using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry items, files or directories are left behind on your PC.
