How to uninstall X-VPN from your computer

X-VPN is a computer program. After the uninstall process, the application leaves some files behind on the computer. Some of these are listed below.

Generally, the following files remain on disk:
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Chromium\User Data\Default\Local Storage\https_x-vpn-for-windows-unlimited-free-proxy.windows10compatible.com_0.localstorage

Many times the following registry keys will not be cleaned:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\X-VPN

Use regedit.exe to remove the following additional registry values from the Windows Registry:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Program Files (x86)\X-VPN\X-VPN.exe

6. Navigate the list of applications until you locate X-VPN or simply click the Search feature and type in "X-VPN". The X-VPN app will be found very quickly. When you select X-VPN in the list of applications, the following data regarding the program is made available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other people have regarding X-VPN, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the program you are about to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.
7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will come up. accept the uninstall by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall X-VPN.
