A way to uninstall Winamp with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Winamp is a program released by NullSoft. Sometimes, people decide to uninstall it. Sometimes this is hard because doing this by hand takes some knowledge regarding Windows internal functioning. One of the best SIMPLE procedure to uninstall Winamp is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:

1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows system, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is one of the best uninstaller and general utility to take care of your Windows PC.


2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with the program's design and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful package of tools.

3. Press the General Tools category

4. Activate the Uninstall Programs tool

5. All the applications installed on the PC will appear

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find Winamp or simply activate the Search feature and type in "Winamp". The Winamp application will be found automatically. Notice that when you select Winamp in the list of applications, some information regarding the program is available to you:

  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other users have regarding Winamp, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the app you are about to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will appear. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove Winamp.

8. After removing Winamp, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of Winamp which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them.
