How to uninstall Winamp from your PC

Winamp is a software application. Use regedit.exe to remove the following additional values from the Windows Registry:

  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.wmv\Winamp_Back

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find Winamp or simply click the Search field and type in "Winamp". If it exists on your system the Winamp application will be found very quickly. When you click Winamp in the list of programs, some data about the application is available to you:


  • Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have about Winamp, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Details about the app you wish to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will appear. Confirm the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall Winamp.
