A way to uninstall ProtonVPN from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

ProtonVPN is an application released by the software company Proton Technologies AG. Some people want to remove this program. This can be efortful because uninstalling this by hand requires some experience regarding Windows internal functioning. 1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your PC, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and general tool to take care of your system.

  • download the setup by pressing the DOWNLOAD button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to get familiar with the program's interface and number of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful Windows optimizer.

3. Click on the General Tools button

5. A list of the applications installed on the computer will appear

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find ProtonVPN or simply click the Search feature and type in "ProtonVPN". If it is installed on your PC the ProtonVPN program will be found very quickly. Notice that when you click ProtonVPN in the list of programs, some data regarding the application is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other users have regarding ProtonVPN, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the program you wish to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will show up. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall ProtonVPN.

8. After removing ProtonVPN, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to perform the cleanup. All the items that belong ProtonVPN that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them.
