After the uninstall process, the application leaves some files behind on the computer. Some of these are shown below.

The files below remain on your disk when you remove ProtonVPN:

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the data below:

A way to delete ProtonVPN from your PC with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

ProtonVPN is an application marketed by Proton Technologies AG. Sometimes, computer users try to remove this program. Sometimes this is efortful because performing this by hand takes some knowledge regarding Windows internal functioning. The best SIMPLE procedure to remove ProtonVPN is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your system, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is the best uninstaller and general utility to clean your computer.

• download the program by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good system optimizer.

3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs button


5. A list of the applications existing on your computer will appear

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate ProtonVPN or simply activate the Search feature and type in "ProtonVPN". If it exists on your system the ProtonVPN app will be found automatically. When you click ProtonVPN in the list of applications, the following data regarding the application is available to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have regarding ProtonVPN, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the application you want to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

For example you can see that for ProtonVPN:

• The publisher is: https://www.protonvpn.com
• The uninstall string is: msiexec.exe /i {4C61AA40-5E08-4C1F-B353-3B0A3605E648} AI_UNINSTALLER_CTP=1

7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will show up. Confirm the removal by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove ProtonVPN.


8. After uninstalling ProtonVPN, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong ProtonVPN that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling ProtonVPN using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry items, files or directories are left behind on your system.
