A guide to uninstall PSPP from your PC

This web page contains complete information on how to remove PSPP for Windows. The Windows version was created by Free Software Foundation, Inc.. Further information on Free Software Foundation, Inc. can be seen here. Usually the PSPP application is installed in the C:\Program Files\INSTALLED\PSPP directory, depending on the user's option during install. C:\Program Files\INSTALLED\PSPP\UNINSTALL.exe is the full command line if you want to uninstall PSPP. PSPP's primary file takes around 10.86 MB (11391305 bytes) and is named psppire.exe.

PSPP has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

You should delete the folders below after you uninstall PSPP:

• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\PSPP

Check for and remove the following files from your disk when you uninstall PSPP:

• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\PSPP\AUTHORS.lnk
• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\PSPP\CommandPrompt.lnk
• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\PSPP\Examples.lnk
• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\PSPP\License.lnk

Generally the following registry keys will not be uninstalled:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.por
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.sav
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.sps
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.zsav

Additional values that are not cleaned:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Program Files\PSPP\bin\psppire.exe
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\PSPP Portable File\DefaultIcon\

A way to remove PSPP from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

PSPP is an application released by Free Software Foundation, Inc.. Sometimes, computer users want to remove this application. • download the setup by pressing the green DOWNLOAD button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with the program's design and number of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful system optimizer.

3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Press the Uninstall Programs tool


5. All the applications existing on your computer will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate PSPP or simply activate the Search feature and type in "PSPP". If it is installed on your PC the PSPP app will be found automatically. After you select PSPP in the list of programs, some data regarding the application is made available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). This explains the opinion other users have regarding PSPP, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the program you wish to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will appear. Confirm the removal by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove PSPP.


8. After uninstalling PSPP, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Press Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong PSPP which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing PSPP using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry items, files or folders are left behind on your PC.
