How to remove Google Desktop from your PC with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Google Desktop is an application marketed by the software company Google. Frequently, computer users choose to remove this application. This is troublesome because deleting this manually requires some knowledge related to Windows program uninstallation. The best EASY solution to remove Google Desktop is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here are some detailed instructions about how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your PC, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and general tool to optimize your computer.

  • navigate to Download Link
  • download the program by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to get familiar with the program's interface and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful system utility.

3. Click on the General Tools button

5. All the programs existing on your PC will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find Google Desktop or simply click the Search field and type in "Google Desktop". The Google Desktop program will be found automatically. Notice that when you click Google Desktop in the list , some information regarding the application is made available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have regarding Google Desktop, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the application you want to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

  • The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files\Google\Google Desktop Search\GoogleDesktopSetup.exe -uninstall
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will appear. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove Google Desktop.

8. After removing Google Desktop, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong Google Desktop which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them.
