How to uninstall Google Chrome from your system

Google Chrome is a software application. This page holds details on how to remove it from your PC. The Windows version was developed by Google LLC. Check out here for more details on Google LLC. Google Chrome is commonly set up in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application directory, depending on the user's decision. The entire uninstall command line for Google Chrome is C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\91.0.4472.101\Installer\setup.exe. The program's main executable file is labeled chrome.exe and it has a size of 2.33 MB (2438312 bytes).

The following executables are incorporated in Google Chrome. They take 12.27 MB (12862616 bytes) on disk.

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be removed; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

3. Press the General Tools category

4. Activate the Uninstall Programs tool

5. All the applications installed on the PC will appear

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find Google Chrome or simply click the Search field and type in "Google Chrome". If it is installed on your PC the Google Chrome program will be found automatically. Notice that after you select Google Chrome in the list of programs, the following information regarding the program is shown to you:


  • Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have regarding Google Chrome, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the program you wish to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will appear. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall Google Chrome.

8. After removing Google Chrome, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items that belong Google Chrome that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them.
