GeekBuddy has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

You should delete the folders below after you uninstall GeekBuddy:
  • C:\Program Files\Comodo\GeekBuddy

The files below were left behind on your disk by GeekBuddy when you uninstall it:
  • C:\Program Files\Comodo\GeekBuddy\imageformats\qgif4.dll
  • C:\Program Files\Comodo\GeekBuddy\launcher.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Comodo\GeekBuddy\launcher_helper.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Comodo\GeekBuddy\libeay32.dll

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the keys below:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Products\5AA6DCBAD4D0DAC49BDFC5B5CD30CBE1

Open regedit.exe in order to remove the following values:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Folders\C:\Program Files\COMODO\GeekBuddy\imageformats\
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Folders\C:\Program Files\COMODO\GeekBuddy\lps-ca\
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Folders\C:\Program Files\COMODO\GeekBuddy\lps-cspm\
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Folders\C:\Program Files\COMODO\GeekBuddy\lps-vt\


How to erase GeekBuddy with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

GeekBuddy is a program offered by Comodo Security Solutions Inc. Some computer users want to uninstall this program. Sometimes this can be efortful because performing this by hand requires some experience regarding removing Windows applications by hand. One of the best EASY approach to uninstall GeekBuddy is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows system, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is an efficient uninstaller and all around utility to take care of your Windows system.

  • download the setup by pressing the DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and number of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful system utility.

3. Press the General Tools category

4. Press the Uninstall Programs tool

5. All the applications existing on your PC will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find GeekBuddy or simply click the Search feature and type in "GeekBuddy". If it is installed on your PC the GeekBuddy program will be found very quickly. When you select GeekBuddy in the list of programs, the following data regarding the program is shown to you:


  • Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have regarding GeekBuddy, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the program you are about to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will show up. accept the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall GeekBuddy.

8. After removing GeekBuddy, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items that belong GeekBuddy that have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By removing GeekBuddy with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your computer.

Your PC will remain clean, speedy and able to take on new tasks.
