A way to uninstall GIMP from your computer

Keep in mind that you might receive a notification for administrator rights. GIMP's main file takes about 5.16 MB (5413488 bytes) and is called gimp-2.8.exe.

A way to delete GIMP from your computer with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

GIMP is a program marketed by the software company The GIMP Team. Sometimes, computer users try to erase it. Sometimes this can be difficult because deleting this by hand takes some skill regarding Windows program uninstallation. One of the best EASY practice to erase GIMP is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows PC, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and all around utility to clean your Windows PC.

  • download the program by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good system optimizer.

3. Press the General Tools category

4. Click on the Uninstall Programs button

5. All the applications existing on the computer will appear

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find GIMP or simply click the Search feature and type in "GIMP". If it exists on your system the GIMP program will be found very quickly. After you click GIMP in the list of applications, the following information regarding the program is shown to you:


  • Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have regarding GIMP, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the application you are about to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will come up. accept the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall GIMP.

8. After uninstalling GIMP, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items that belong GIMP that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing GIMP with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry items, files or directories are left behind on your system.

Your Windows system will remain clean, speedy and able to take on new tasks.
