How to uninstall FlashDevelop from your system

This page is about FlashDevelop for Windows. Here you can find details on how to remove it from your computer. The Windows release was developed by FlashDevelop.org. You can find out more on FlashDevelop.org or check for application updates here. Usually the FlashDevelop program is installed in the C:\Program Files (x86)\FlashDevelop directory, depending on the user's option during setup. You can uninstall FlashDevelop by clicking on the Start menu of Windows and pasting the command line C:\Program Files (x86)\FlashDevelop\Uninstall.exe. Keep in mind that you might receive a notification for administrator rights. FlashDevelop's main file takes about 355.50 KB (364032 bytes) and is named FlashDevelop.exe.

After the uninstall process, the application leaves some files behind on the PC. Some of these are listed below.

Folders that were left behind:
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Adobe\FlashDevelop

The files below are left behind on your disk when you remove FlashDevelop:
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#Security\FlashPlayerTrust\FlashDevelop.cfg
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\FlashDevelop.lnk

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be uninstalled; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

How to delete FlashDevelop from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

FlashDevelop is an application by FlashDevelop.org. Some users try to remove it. This is easier said than done because doing this manually requires some skill related to PCs. 3. Click on the General Tools button

5. All the applications existing on your computer will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you locate FlashDevelop or simply activate the Search feature and type in "FlashDevelop". The FlashDevelop program will be found automatically. When you click FlashDevelop in the list of applications, the following information regarding the program is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This tells you the opinion other users have regarding FlashDevelop, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the program you wish to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will come up. Confirm the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall FlashDevelop.

8. After uninstalling FlashDevelop, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items of FlashDevelop that have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling FlashDevelop using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your computer.
