A way to uninstall F-Secure from your system

If you are manually uninstalling F-Secure we suggest you to check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

Folders that were left behind:
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\F-Secure

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the keys below:
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\F-Secure
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Trolltech\OrganizationDefaults\Qt Factory Cache 4.8\com.trolltech.Qt.QImageIOHandlerFactoryInterface:\C:\Program Files\F-Secure
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Trolltech\OrganizationDefaults\Qt Plugin Cache 4.8.false\C:\Program Files\F-Secure
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Data Fellows\F-Secure


How to erase F-Secure with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

F-Secure is an application released by F-Secure Corporation. Sometimes, users decide to erase this program. Sometimes this can be easier said than done because uninstalling this manually takes some skill related to PCs. The best SIMPLE procedure to erase F-Secure is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here are some detailed instructions about how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows system, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and all around tool to maximize the performance of your Windows PC.

  • download the setup by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful system optimizer.

3. Press the General Tools button

5. A list of the applications installed on your PC will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find F-Secure or simply click the Search feature and type in "F-Secure". The F-Secure app will be found very quickly. Notice that when you select F-Secure in the list of apps, some information about the program is shown to you:


  • Star rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other people have about F-Secure, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information about the program you want to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will appear. Confirm the removal by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall F-Secure.

8. After removing F-Secure, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong F-Secure that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing F-Secure using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry items, files or directories are left behind on your system.
