A guide to uninstall F-Secure from your system

If you're planning to uninstall F-Secure you should check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

Directories found on disk:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\F-Secure\SAFE
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\F-Secure

Generally, the following files are left on disk:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\F-Secure\SAFE\_fs_se_hotfix.exe
• C:\Program Files (x86)\F-Secure\SAFE\0_ccf.cr
• C:\Program Files (x86)\F-Secure\SAFE\about
• C:\Program Files (x86)\F-Secure\SAFE\ActionCenter.cfg

Generally the following registry keys will not be cleaned:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\F-Secure
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\F-Secure

Registry values that are not removed from your computer:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\EventLog\Application\FSecure-FSecure-F-Secure Anti-Virus\EventMessageFile
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\F-Secure HIPS\ImagePath
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\fshoster\ImagePath

A way to delete F-Secure with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

F-Secure is a program offered by the software company F-Secure Corporation. Some users want to remove this application. This can be difficult because deleting this by hand takes some skill regarding Windows internal functioning. One of the best EASY practice to remove F-Secure is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows system, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and general tool to maximize the performance of your Windows PC.

• download the program by pressing the DOWNLOAD button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to admire the program's interface and wealth of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good PC management program.

3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs button


5. All the programs installed on your PC will appear

6. Navigate the list of programs until you locate F-Secure or simply activate the Search feature and type in "F-Secure". The F-Secure application will be found very quickly. Notice that when you click F-Secure in the list , some data about the application is shown to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other people have about F-Secure, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details about the program you want to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will come up. accept the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall F-Secure.


8. After removing F-Secure, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong F-Secure that have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By removing F-Secure using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry items, files or folders are left behind on your disk.

Your computer will remain clean, speedy and ready to run without errors or problems.
