A considerable amount of files, folders and registry entries can not be deleted when you remove CCleaner from your computer.

Usually, the following files are left on disk:

• C:\UserNames\UserName\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.Search_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\AppIconCache\100\{6D809377-6AF0-444B-8957-A3773F02200E}_CCleaner_CCEnhancer_exe
• C:\UserNames\UserName\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.Search_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\AppIconCache\100\{6D809377-6AF0-444B-8957-A3773F02200E}_CCleaner_CCleaner64_exe

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the keys below:

• HKEY_CURRENT_UserName\Software\Piriform\CCleaner
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\CCleaner
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Piriform\CCleaner

Supplementary values that are not removed:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\CCleanerPerformanceOptimizerService\Description
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\CCleanerPerformanceOptimizerService\DisplayName
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\CCleanerPerformanceOptimizerService\ImagePath

How to remove CCleaner from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

CCleaner is an application by the software company Piriform Ltd.. Frequently, computer users want to remove it. 3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Press the Uninstall Programs button


5. All the programs existing on the PC will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find CCleaner or simply click the Search feature and type in "CCleaner". If it exists on your system the CCleaner application will be found very quickly. Notice that after you select CCleaner in the list , some information regarding the program is made available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have regarding CCleaner, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
