A guide to uninstall BrowserSafer from your system

BrowserSafer is a Windows application. Keep in mind that this path can differ depending on the user's preference. C:\Program Files (x86)\BrowserSafer\uninstall.exe is the full command line if you want to remove BrowserSafer. BrowserSafer.exe is the BrowserSafer's main executable file and it occupies about 551.50 KB (564736 bytes) on disk.

BrowserSafer is comprised of the following executables which occupy 6.78 MB (7104975 bytes) on disk:

  • BrowserSafer.exe (551.50 KB)
  • BrowserSaferMngr.exe (3.44 MB)
  • FileManager.exe (1.94 MB)

Some files and registry entries are usually left behind when you remove BrowserSafer.

Check for and delete the following files from your disk when you uninstall BrowserSafer:
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\BrowserSafer\BrowserSafer.exe
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\BrowserSafer\BrowserSaferMngr.exe
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\BrowserSafer\data.dat
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\BrowserSafer\FileManager.exe
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\BrowserSafer\uninstall.exe

Registry that is not uninstalled:
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\BrowserSafer
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\BrowserSafer
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\BrowserSafer
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\BrowserSafer

Use regedit.exe to delete the following additional registry values from the Windows Registry:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\BrowserSafer\DisplayName
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\BrowserSafer\ImagePath


How to delete BrowserSafer with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

3. Press the General Tools button

4. Activate the Uninstall Programs feature

5. A list of the applications existing on your computer will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find BrowserSafer or simply click the Search feature and type in "BrowserSafer". If it exists on your system the BrowserSafer application will be found very quickly. When you select BrowserSafer in the list of applications, the following information about the application is available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other people have about BrowserSafer, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information about the application you want to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will come up. accept the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall BrowserSafer.

8. After removing BrowserSafer, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items that belong BrowserSafer which have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling BrowserSafer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your disk.
