If you are manually uninstalling Avira we recommend you to check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be removed; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Avira
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Avira

Open regedit.exe in order to delete the following registry values:

A way to remove Avira with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Avira is an application by the software company Avira Operations GmbH & Co. KG. Sometimes, people choose to uninstall this program. This can be easier said than done because performing this manually takes some experience regarding removing Windows programs manually. The best SIMPLE solution to uninstall Avira is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows system, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is an efficient uninstaller and general utility to take care of your Windows PC.

• download the setup by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to admire the program's design and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful package of utilities.

3. Press the General Tools button


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs button


5. A list of the applications existing on the PC will appear

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find Avira or simply click the Search feature and type in "Avira". The Avira program will be found automatically. After you select Avira in the list of apps, some data regarding the application is available to you:

• Safety rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other people have regarding Avira, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the program you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will come up. accept the uninstall by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove Avira.


8. After uninstalling Avira, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of Avira which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling Avira using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry items, files or folders are left behind on your disk.

Your Windows system will remain clean, speedy and able to run without errors or problems.
