Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the keys below:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Ares.CollectionList
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ares
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Ares

Use regedit.exe to delete the following additional values from the Windows Registry:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\FirewallRules\TCP Query User{197D164A-CF68-434D-84D9-FE73962DB288}C:\program files\ares\ares.exe
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\FirewallRules\UDP Query User{5611B957-4C85-4FC2-94C3-6488F1F57642}C:\program files\ares\ares.exe


A way to remove Ares using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Ares is an application released by AresGalaxy. Frequently, computer users decide to erase it. This is difficult because uninstalling this by hand takes some advanced knowledge related to removing Windows applications by hand. The best QUICK solution to erase Ares is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows system, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and all around utility to clean your Windows PC.

  • download the setup by clicking on the DOWNLOAD button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to get familiar with the program's interface and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful program.

3. Click on the General Tools button

4. Activate the Uninstall Programs feature

5. A list of the programs existing on the computer will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you locate Ares or simply click the Search field and type in "Ares". If it exists on your system the Ares app will be found automatically. When you click Ares in the list , some information regarding the application is available to you:


  • Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other users have regarding Ares, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the app you are about to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will show up. accept the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove Ares.

8. After removing Ares, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Press Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items of Ares which have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them.
