Zoom is a software application. Some files and registry entries are regularly left behind when you remove Zoom.

Check for and remove the following files from your disk when you uninstall Zoom:
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.Cortana_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\AppIconCache\100\zoom_us_Zoom Video Meetings

Registry that is not removed:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.zoom
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppContainer\Storage\microsoft.microsoftedge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\MicrosoftEdge\Zoom
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ZoomUMX
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppHost\Zoom

Open regedit.exe to remove the registry values below from the Windows Registry:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\bam\State\UserSettings\S-1-5-21-3278654803-2097899386-92796389-1000\\Device\HarddiskVolume3\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Zoom\bin\Zoom.exe


How to remove Zoom with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Zoom is a program marketed by the software company Zoom Video Communications, Inc.. Sometimes, people decide to uninstall this program. 3. Click on the General Tools button

4. Activate the Uninstall Programs button

5. All the applications installed on the PC will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find Zoom or simply activate the Search feature and type in "Zoom". If it is installed on your PC the Zoom application will be found automatically. After you click Zoom in the list of applications, the following data regarding the application is made available to you:


  • Star rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other users have regarding Zoom, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the program you want to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.
For instance you can see that for Zoom:





  • The publisher is: https://zoom.us
  • The uninstall string is: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Zoom\uninstall\Installer.exe /uninstall
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will come up. accept the uninstall by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall Zoom.

8. After removing Zoom, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong Zoom which have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing Zoom with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry items, files or directories are left behind on your disk.
