How to uninstall YouTube from your PC

YouTube is a Windows program. Read more about how to uninstall it from your PC. It was developed for Windows by Sidekick. Additional info about Sidekick can be read here. Usually the YouTube application is found in the C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Sidekick\Application folder, depending on the user's option during setup. YouTube's entire uninstall command line is C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Sidekick\Application\sidekick.exe. sidekick.exe is the programs's main file and it takes around 2.13 MB (2230840 bytes) on disk.

YouTube installs the following the executables on your PC, occupying about 8.34 MB (8741144 bytes) on disk.

A way to remove YouTube from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

6. Navigate the list of applications until you locate YouTube or simply activate the Search feature and type in "YouTube". The YouTube app will be found automatically. When you select YouTube in the list of applications, some data regarding the program is made available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other users have regarding YouTube, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the application you wish to remove, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will come up. Confirm the removal by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically uninstall YouTube.

All the items that belong YouTube that have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them.
