After the uninstall process, the application leaves some files behind on the PC. Some of these are listed below.

You should delete the folders below after you uninstall Windows Live Toolbar:
  • C:\Program Files\Windows Live Toolbar

The files below were left behind on your disk by Windows Live Toolbar's application uninstaller when you removed it:
  • C:\Program Files\Windows Live Toolbar\animated_loading.gif
  • C:\Program Files\Windows Live Toolbar\CM.dll
  • C:\Program Files\Windows Live Toolbar\cmres.dll
  • C:\Program Files\Windows Live Toolbar\ComponentManager.exe

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be cleaned; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows Live Toolbar
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Windows Live Toolbar

Open regedit.exe to delete the registry values below from the Windows Registry:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{00B0B1C3-749F-4392-8F2C-613341657DF5}\InprocServer32\
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{00BF57EF-C57F-47d4-9119-1F31FAD912C8}\LocalServer32\

A way to remove Windows Live Toolbar using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

3. Click on the General Tools category

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find Windows Live Toolbar or simply click the Search field and type in "Windows Live Toolbar". If it is installed on your PC the Windows Live Toolbar program will be found automatically.
