How to uninstall Winamp from your computer

Winamp is a Windows program. Read below about how to uninstall it from your computer. It is developed by l-rePack®. Check out here for more details on l-rePack®. Please follow if you want to read more on Winamp on l-rePack®'s page. Usually the Winamp program is to be found in the C:\Program Files\Winamp directory, depending on the user's option during setup. You can remove Winamp by clicking on the Start menu of Windows and pasting the command line C:\Program Files\Winamp\unins000.exe. Keep in mind that you might receive a notification for admin rights. winamp.exe is the programs's main file and it takes about 2.50 MB (2619488 bytes) on disk.

If planning to uninstall Winamp you should check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

The files below remain on your disk by Winamp's application uninstaller when you removed it:
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Winamp.lnk

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be removed; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

How to uninstall Winamp with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Winamp is a program released by the software company l-rePack®. Sometimes, people try to remove it. 5. A list of the applications installed on the computer will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find Winamp or simply click the Search feature and type in "Winamp". If it is installed on your PC the Winamp program will be found very quickly. After you click Winamp in the list of applications, some data regarding the application is available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have regarding Winamp, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the application you wish to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will show up. accept the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove Winamp.
