A guide to uninstall WinPrivacy from your system

If you are manually uninstalling WinPrivacy we advise you to verify if the following data is left behind on your PC.

Folders left behind when you uninstall WinPrivacy:
  • C:\Program Files\Ruiware\WinPrivacy
  • C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\WinPatrol\WinPrivacy
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\WinPatrol\WinPrivacy
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Ruiware\WinPrivacy 2015.11.752.0

Usually, the following files remain on disk:
  • C:\Program Files\Ruiware\WinPrivacy\DevExpress.BonusSkins.v14.2.dll
  • C:\Program Files\Ruiware\WinPrivacy\DevExpress.Charts.v14.2.Core.dll
  • C:\Program Files\Ruiware\WinPrivacy\DevExpress.Data.v14.2.dll
  • C:\Program Files\Ruiware\WinPrivacy\DevExpress.Data.v14.2.xml

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the keys below:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{18605281-BFFE-4968-9B86-05322D5FBB33}
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Ruiware\WinPrivacy

Open regedit.exe to delete the values below from the Windows Registry:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{18605281-BFFE-4968-9B86-05322D5FBB33}\DisplayIcon

A way to uninstall WinPrivacy from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

WinPrivacy is an application by WinPatrol. Sometimes, people decide to remove this program. Sometimes this is troublesome because deleting this by hand requires some advanced knowledge related to Windows program uninstallation. One of the best EASY way to remove WinPrivacy is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows PC, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and general utility to optimize your Windows computer.

  • download the setup by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful program.

3. Click on the General Tools button

4. Press the Uninstall Programs tool

5. All the applications installed on your PC will appear

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate WinPrivacy or simply click the Search feature and type in "WinPrivacy". If it exists on your system the WinPrivacy application will be found automatically. Notice that when you click WinPrivacy in the list of apps, the following information regarding the program is available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other people have regarding WinPrivacy, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the program you are about to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will come up. accept the removal by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove WinPrivacy.

8. After removing WinPrivacy, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items of WinPrivacy which have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling WinPrivacy with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your PC.
