Many files, folders and Windows registry entries can be left behind when you want to remove WIDEsystem from your PC.

Usually the following registry keys will not be cleaned:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Contex\WIDEsystem
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{798E08C6-4ED1-49C3-9519-7F644BB545C9}

Open regedit.exe to remove the values below from the Windows Registry:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Program Files (x86)\Contex\WIDEsystem\WS.exe
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Users\UserName\Desktop\WIDEsystem401-42392.exe

How to erase WIDEsystem from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

WIDEsystem is a program by the software company Contex. Some users choose to remove this program. Sometimes this is easier said than done because deleting this by hand requires some knowledge related to Windows internal functioning. One of the best SIMPLE way to remove WIDEsystem is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here are some detailed instructions about how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your system, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and general tool to maximize the performance of your PC.

• download the setup by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to get familiar with the program's design and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good system utility.

3. Press the General Tools button


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs feature


5. All the programs installed on your computer will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find WIDEsystem or simply click the Search feature and type in "WIDEsystem". If it exists on your system the WIDEsystem application will be found very quickly. Notice that when you select WIDEsystem in the list , some data regarding the program is made available to you:

• Safety rating (in the lower left corner). This explains the opinion other users have regarding WIDEsystem, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the application you wish to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for WIDEsystem:

• The publisher is: http://www.contex.com
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\InstallShield Installation Information\{798E08C6-4ED1-49C3-9519-7F644BB545C9}\setup.exe -runfromtemp -l0x0009 -removeonly

7. Press the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will show up. accept the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall WIDEsystem.


8. After uninstalling WIDEsystem, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong WIDEsystem which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing WIDEsystem with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your disk.

Your system will remain clean, speedy and ready to take on new tasks.
