If you are manually uninstalling VMware vSphere Web Client we suggest you to verify if the following data is left behind on your PC.

Folders left behind when you uninstall VMware vSphere Web Client:
  • C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure
  • C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\VMware\VMware vSphere Web Client

Generally, the following files remain on disk:
  • C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\JRE\bin\attach.dll
  • C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\JRE\bin\awt.dll
  • C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\JRE\bin\cmm.dll
  • C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\JRE\bin\dcpr.dll

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be removed; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\VMware vSphere Web Client
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\VMware, Inc.\VMware Infrastructure\vSphere Web Client

Open regedit.exe to delete the registry values below from the Windows Registry:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Folders\C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Folders\C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\VMware\VMware vSphere Web Client\
