A guide to uninstall Steam from your PC

Steam is a software application. How to uninstall Steam with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Steam is a program released by Valve Corporation. Some people want to uninstall it. Sometimes this can be efortful because doing this by hand takes some skill related to removing Windows programs manually. One of the best SIMPLE approach to uninstall Steam is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:

1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows system, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and general utility to take care of your Windows PC.


2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to admire the program's design and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good package of utilities.

3. Press the General Tools button

5. A list of the programs existing on the PC will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find Steam or simply activate the Search feature and type in "Steam". If it is installed on your PC the Steam app will be found automatically. Notice that after you click Steam in the list of applications, some data about the program is shown to you:

  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This tells you the opinion other users have about Steam, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details about the program you wish to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will appear. accept the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall Steam.

8. After removing Steam, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items that belong Steam that have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling Steam using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry items, files or folders are left behind on your computer.
