How to uninstall SCout from your system

You can find on this page detailed information on how to remove SCout for Windows. It was coded for Windows by GsmServer. Go over here where you can read more on GsmServer. Please open if you want to read more on SCout on GsmServer's web page. The program is frequently found in the C:\Program Files\GsmServer\SCout directory (same installation drive as Windows). The full command line for uninstalling SCout is MsiExec.exe /I{1049CADB-7346-4D7D-85E5-9F7FFFE13D16}. Note that if you will type this command in Start / Run Note you might get a notification for administrator rights. SCout.exe is the programs's main file and it takes approximately 1.65 MB (1730560 bytes) on disk.

SCout is composed of the following executables which take 3.65 MB (3831719 bytes) on disk:

After the uninstall process, the application leaves leftovers on the computer. Some of these are shown below.

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the keys below:
  • HKEY_CURRENT_UserName\Software\GsmServer\SCout

Open regedit.exe to delete the registry values below from the Windows Registry:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_UserNameName\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\program files (x86)\gsmserver\scout\scout.exe

A way to delete SCout with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

SCout is a program by the software company GsmServer. Frequently, computer users choose to remove it.   • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful system utility.

3. Press the General Tools button

4. Activate the Uninstall Programs tool

5. A list of the programs installed on your PC will appear

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find SCout or simply activate the Search feature and type in "SCout". If it is installed on your PC the SCout app will be found very quickly. Notice that after you click SCout in the list of applications, some information regarding the application is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have regarding SCout, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the program you wish to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

  • The publisher is: http://www.GsmServer.com
  • The uninstall string is: MsiExec.exe /I{1049CADB-7346-4D7D-85E5-9F7FFFE13D16}
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will appear. accept the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall SCout.

8. After removing SCout, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items of SCout which have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing SCout with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your disk.

Your Windows computer will remain clean, speedy and ready to run without errors or problems.
