Recovery has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

Folders found on disk after you uninstall Recovery from your computer:

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be uninstalled; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Recovery
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{145DE957-0679-4A2A-BB5C-1D3E9808FAB2}

Open regedit.exe to delete the values below from the Windows Registry:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Program Files\Samsung\Recovery\Manager1.exe.ApplicationCompany
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Program Files\Samsung\Recovery\Manager1.exe.FriendlyAppName
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{145DE957-0679-4A2A-BB5C-1D3E9808FAB2}\DisplayIcon
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{145DE957-0679-4A2A-BB5C-1D3E9808FAB2}\InstallLocation


A way to delete Recovery with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find Recovery or simply activate the Search field and type in "Recovery". If it exists on your system the Recovery app will be found automatically.   • Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have regarding Recovery, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the app you are about to remove, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will show up. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall Recovery.

All the items that belong Recovery that have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them.
