A guide to uninstall QuickTime from your computer

QuickTime is a Windows application. Keep in mind that this path can differ depending on the user's choice. You can uninstall QuickTime by clicking on the Start menu of Windows and pasting the command line MsiExec.exe /I{E0D51394-1D45-460A-B62D-383BC4F8B335}. Keep in mind that you might get a notification for administrator rights. QuickTime's primary file takes about 1.12 MB (1176576 bytes) and is named QuickTimePlayer.exe.

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the keys below:

  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.aac
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.adts


How to erase QuickTime from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

QuickTime is an application marketed by Apple Inc.. Some people try to uninstall this application. This can be easier said than done because deleting this by hand takes some experience related to Windows internal functioning. 3. Press the General Tools category

5. All the applications existing on the computer will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find QuickTime or simply activate the Search feature and type in "QuickTime". The QuickTime app will be found automatically. After you select QuickTime in the list of programs, the following data regarding the program is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have regarding QuickTime, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the program you are about to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will show up. accept the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically uninstall QuickTime.

8. After removing QuickTime, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items of QuickTime that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing QuickTime using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry items, files or folders are left behind on your computer.
