A guide to uninstall PLC-Lab from your system

PLC-Lab is a computer program. This page contains details on how to remove it from your computer. It is produced by MHJ-Software GmbH & Co. KG's website. PLC-Lab is usually set up in the C:\Program Files (x86)\MHJ-Software\PLC-Lab directory, but this location may vary a lot depending on the user's option when installing the program. You can uninstall PLC-Lab by clicking on the Start menu of Windows and pasting the command line C:\Program Files (x86)\MHJ-Software\PLC-Lab\uninstall.exe. Keep in mind that you might receive a notification for administrator rights. Mhj.SpsVisu.Main.exe is the programs's main file and it takes around 457.50 KB (468480 bytes) on disk.

Quite a few files, folders and Windows registry entries will not be removed when you are trying to remove PLC-Lab from your PC.

You should delete the folders below after you uninstall PLC-Lab:
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\MHJ-Software\PLC-Lab
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\MHJ-Software\PLC-Lab
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\MHJ-Software\PLC-Lab

Check for and delete the following files from your disk when you uninstall PLC-Lab:
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\MHJ-Software\PLC-Lab\_system\PlcLab-Editor\Examples\Mhj-Wiki-Examples\Bohrer2_01.jpg

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be uninstalled; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\PLC-Lab

Open regedit.exe in order to delete the following registry values:

How to remove PLC-Lab from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

PLC-Lab is an application marketed by the software company MHJ-Software GmbH & Co. KG. Sometimes, users decide to remove this program. This is difficult because removing this manually takes some knowledge related to removing Windows applications by hand. The best SIMPLE approach to remove PLC-Lab is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows system, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and all around utility to take care of your Windows PC.

  • download the program by clicking on the DOWNLOAD button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and number of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good program.

3. Click on the General Tools button

4. Click on the Uninstall Programs tool

5. All the programs installed on the PC will appear

6. Scroll the list of programs until you locate PLC-Lab or simply click the Search field and type in "PLC-Lab". The PLC-Lab app will be found automatically. After you click PLC-Lab in the list of applications, the following data about the application is available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have about PLC-Lab, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Details about the app you are about to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.
For instance you can see that for PLC-Lab:





  • The software company is: http://www.mhj.de
  • The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\MHJ-Software\PLC-Lab\uninstall.exe
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will come up. accept the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove PLC-Lab.

8. After removing PLC-Lab, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of PLC-Lab which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing PLC-Lab with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your computer.

Your Windows system will remain clean, speedy and able to run without errors or problems.
