How to uninstall Overwolf from your computer

If you are manually uninstalling Overwolf we suggest you to check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

You should delete the folders below after you uninstall Overwolf:
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Overwolf
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Overwolf
  • C:\UserName\AppData\Local\Overwolf
  • C:\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Overwolf

Check for and delete the following files from your disk when you uninstall Overwolf:
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Overwolf\0.84.95.0\Ionic.Zip.Reduced.dll
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Overwolf\0.84.95.0\Newtonsoft.Json.2.dll
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Overwolf\0.84.95.0\OverWolf.Client.CommonUtils.dll
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Overwolf\0.84.95.0\OverwolfHelper.exe

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be removed; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{F3219881-CE98-4C8C-A472-280BD9A7D247}
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Overwolf
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Overwolf
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Overwolf

Open regedit.exe to remove the registry values below from the Windows Registry:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{5EDBC3E0-49BB-4E0D-860F-80037D14E735}\LocalServer32\
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{B0957D9C-810B-4DE0-9C5E-48DB09C5B413}\LocalServer32\
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{CC7899F5-56C9-44F1-9611-080BFC180FD5}\LocalServer32\

A way to erase Overwolf from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find Overwolf or simply click the Search feature and type in "Overwolf". If it exists on your system the Overwolf app will be found automatically. After you click Overwolf in the list , some information about the program is available to you:


  • Star rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other people have about Overwolf, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details about the application you wish to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will come up. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall Overwolf.
