Norton Security has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

Check for and delete the following files from your disk when you uninstall Norton Security:

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the data below:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\NGC

A way to remove Norton Security using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Norton Security is an application marketed by Symantec Corporation. Some people decide to uninstall this application. This is difficult because deleting this manually requires some advanced knowledge regarding Windows program uninstallation. One of the best SIMPLE manner to uninstall Norton Security is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:

3. Press the General Tools button


4. Press the Uninstall Programs button


5. All the applications installed on the computer will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find Norton Security or simply activate the Search feature and type in "Norton Security". If it exists on your system the Norton Security app will be found automatically. Notice that when you select Norton Security in the list of applications, the following information about the program is available to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have about Norton Security, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details about the app you want to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

8. After uninstalling Norton Security, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items of Norton Security which have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing Norton Security using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry items, files or directories are left behind on your disk.
