Several files, folders and registry entries will be left behind when you are trying to remove MEmu from your computer.

Directories left on disk:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Microvirt\memu
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\MEmu

Usually, the following files are left on disk:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Microvirt\memu\MEmu.log
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\MEmu\Uninstall MEmu.lnk

Generally the following registry keys will not be cleaned:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\DirectInput\MEMU.EXE088DFD600054C610
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Tracing\MEmu-setup-abroad-sdk_RASAPI32

Open regedit.exe to remove the registry values below from the Windows Registry:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MEmuDrv\DisplayName

A way to remove MEmu from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

3. Press the General Tools button


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs tool


5. A list of the programs installed on the computer will appear

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find MEmu or simply click the Search feature and type in "MEmu". The MEmu application will be found very quickly. Notice that after you select MEmu in the list of applications, the following data regarding the program is available to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). This tells you the opinion other users have regarding MEmu, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the program you want to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will appear. accept the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove MEmu.


8. After removing MEmu, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Press Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of MEmu which have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling MEmu with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your disk.
