A way to uninstall LINE from your PC

LINE is a Windows application. Read below about how to remove it from your computer. It was coded for Windows by LINE Corporation. You can find out more on LINE Corporation or check for application updates here. Further information about LINE can be seen at http://line.me. The application is usually placed in the C:\Program Files (x86)\LINE folder (same installation drive as Windows). C:\Program Files (x86)\LINE\LineUnInst.exe is the full command line if you want to uninstall LINE. The program's main executable file occupies 16.09 MB (16876568 bytes) on disk and is labeled LINE.exe.

Some files, folders and registry data can not be removed when you remove LINE from your PC.

You should delete the folders below after you uninstall LINE:

• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\LINE
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\LINE

The files below were left behind on your disk by LINE when you uninstall it:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Internet Security 15.0.1\skin\resources\neutral\templates\images\safe_banking\line.png
• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\LINE.lnk
• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\LINE\LINE Uninstall.lnk
• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\LINE\LINE.lnk

Frequently the following registry keys will not be cleaned:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\LINE Corporation
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\LINE
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Naver\LINE
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\NHN Corporation\LINE

Use regedit.exe to remove the following additional values from the Windows Registry:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\LINE\DisplayIcon
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\LINE\DisplayName
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\LINE\Publisher
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\LINE\UninstallString

A way to remove LINE with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

LINE is an application marketed by LINE Corporation. Sometimes, users try to uninstall this application. Sometimes this is hard because deleting this by hand requires some experience regarding PCs. One of the best QUICK solution to uninstall LINE is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your PC, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and general tool to maximize the performance of your system.

• navigate to Download Link
• download the setup by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good package of utilities.

3. Press the General Tools button


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs tool


5. All the applications installed on your computer will appear

6. Navigate the list of applications until you locate LINE or simply click the Search field and type in "LINE". The LINE app will be found very quickly. After you select LINE in the list , some data regarding the application is available to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). This tells you the opinion other people have regarding LINE, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the app you want to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

For example you can see that for LINE:

• The web site of the program is: http://line.me
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\LINE\LineUnInst.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will come up. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall LINE.


8. After removing LINE, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items that belong LINE that have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing LINE using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry items, files or directories are left behind on your system.
