A guide to uninstall Google Earth from your computer

Keep in mind that you might be prompted for admin rights. The program's main executable file is titled geplugin.exe and its approximative size is 203.50 KB (208384 bytes).

The following executables are installed along with Google Earth. They occupy about 751.50 KB (769536 bytes) on disk.

Several files, folders and Windows registry entries will not be deleted when you remove Google Earth from your PC.

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be uninstalled; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

How to delete Google Earth from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Google Earth is a program by Google. Sometimes, people decide to remove it. Sometimes this is troublesome because performing this by hand takes some knowledge regarding PCs. One of the best EASY manner to remove Google Earth is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows PC, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and all around utility to take care of your Windows computer.

  • download the setup by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good package of tools.

3. Click on the General Tools button

4. Click on the Uninstall Programs feature

5. A list of the programs installed on your computer will appear

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find Google Earth or simply click the Search feature and type in "Google Earth". If it exists on your system the Google Earth program will be found automatically. Notice that after you select Google Earth in the list , the following information about the application is available to you:


  • Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have about Google Earth, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Details about the application you are about to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will come up. accept the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall Google Earth.

8. After removing Google Earth, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of Google Earth which have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing Google Earth with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your disk.

Your Windows computer will remain clean, speedy and able to run without errors or problems.
