How to uninstall Ghostery from your PC

Ghostery is a Windows program. Read more about how to remove it from your PC. It is made by Ghostery Inc. You can find out more on Ghostery Inc or check for application updates here. The program is frequently located in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Ghostery folder (same installation drive as Windows). The full command line for removing Ghostery is C:\Program Files (x86)\Ghostery\Uninst.exe. Keep in mind that if you will type this command in Start / Run Note you might receive a notification for admin rights. Uninst.exe is the programs's main file and it takes about 250.70 KB (256716 bytes) on disk.

The following executables are installed together with Ghostery. They take about 675.93 KB (692156 bytes) on disk.

Some files, folders and registry entries will not be removed when you want to remove Ghostery from your PC.

A way to delete Ghostery from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Ghostery is an application released by the software company Ghostery Inc. Sometimes, people want to remove it. 2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to admire the program's interface and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful package of utilities.

3. Click on the General Tools category

5. A list of the programs existing on the computer will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you locate Ghostery or simply click the Search field and type in "Ghostery". If it exists on your system the Ghostery program will be found very quickly. Notice that after you select Ghostery in the list of apps, the following information about the program is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). This explains the opinion other users have about Ghostery, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information about the application you want to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will appear. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall Ghostery.

8. After removing Ghostery, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Press Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong Ghostery that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing Ghostery using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your computer.

Your PC will remain clean, speedy and able to serve you properly.
