A guide to uninstall Driver Support from your system

Quite a few files, folders and Windows registry entries will be left behind when you are trying to remove Driver Support from your computer.

Folders left behind when you uninstall Driver Support:
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Driver Support\Driver Support
  • C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Driver Support

Check for and remove the following files from your disk when you uninstall Driver Support:
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Driver Support\Driver Support\Agent.Common.XmlSerializers.dll
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Driver Support\Driver Support\RuleEngine.XmlSerializers.dll

Usually the following registry data will not be cleaned:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{597FB4A5-DD86-4316-A410-7E8074CC2CCE}

Open regedit.exe to delete the registry values below from the Windows Registry:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{597FB4A5-DD86-4316-A410-7E8074CC2CCE}\InstallLocation


A way to erase Driver Support with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Driver Support is a program offered by the software company PC Drivers Headquarters, LP. Sometimes, computer users choose to uninstall this application. 2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful program.

3. Press the General Tools button

4. Activate the Uninstall Programs button

5. A list of the programs existing on the computer will appear

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find Driver Support or simply click the Search field and type in "Driver Support". The Driver Support program will be found automatically. After you click Driver Support in the list of programs, some information about the application is available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This tells you the opinion other users have about Driver Support, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information about the application you wish to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will show up. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically uninstall Driver Support.

8. After removing Driver Support, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Press Next to start the cleanup. All the items that belong Driver Support that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing Driver Support using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your computer.

Your PC will remain clean, speedy and able to run without errors or problems.
