A guide to uninstall DWGeditor from your system

DWGeditor is a Windows program. DWGeditor has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

You should delete the folders below after you uninstall DWGeditor:
  • C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\DWGeditor
  • C:\Program Files\DWGeditor

Check for and delete the following files from your disk when you uninstall DWGeditor:
  • C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\DWGeditor\DWGeditorPerformance.log
  • C:\Program Files\DWGeditor\CommonProjects.vbi

Many times the following registry keys will not be uninstalled:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\applications\DWGEditor.exe
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\DWGeditor.Application
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\DWGeditor.Drawing
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SolidWorks\SolidWorks 2006\DWGeditor
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{AC7190A0-EEA1-423C-A531-FCEB4E0EBBB1}

Use regedit.exe to delete the following additional registry values from the Windows Registry:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Folders\C:\Program Files\DWGeditor\

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate DWGeditor or simply activate the Search feature and type in "DWGeditor". If it is installed on your PC the DWGeditor app will be found very quickly. Notice that after you select DWGeditor in the list of applications, the following information about the program is made available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other users have about DWGeditor, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information about the program you wish to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.
