When planning to uninstall Content Defender you should check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

Directories left on disk:
  • C:\Program Files\Content Defender
  • C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Content Defender

The files below remain on your disk by Content Defender when you uninstall it:
  • C:\Program Files\Content Defender\cert\SSL\cert.db
  • C:\Program Files\Content Defender\cert\SSL\ContentDefender 2.cer
  • C:\Program Files\Content Defender\condefclean.exe
  • C:\Program Files\Content Defender\ConDefSetup.exe

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be cleaned; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{CCA2A357-CCB4-41C9-B6F5-4F202B8CDC82}
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ContentDefender

Open regedit.exe in order to delete the following registry values:

A way to erase Content Defender from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

3. Press the General Tools category

5. All the applications installed on your PC will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find Content Defender or simply activate the Search feature and type in "Content Defender". The Content Defender program will be found automatically. After you select Content Defender in the list of applications, the following data about the application is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have about Content Defender, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details about the application you are about to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.
7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will show up. accept the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove Content Defender.
