How to uninstall CMake from your computer

Keep in mind that if you will type this command in Start / Run Note you may receive a notification for administrator rights. cmake.exe is the CMake's primary executable file and it occupies close to 6.10 MB (6391296 bytes) on disk.

How to delete CMake with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

CMake is a program released by Kitware. Some users decide to remove this application. This can be efortful because uninstalling this manually takes some knowledge regarding Windows program uninstallation. One of the best QUICK procedure to remove CMake is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows PC, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and all around utility to optimize your Windows PC.

• download the setup by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to admire the program's interface and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful system optimizer.

3. Press the General Tools button


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs button


5. A list of the programs existing on your computer will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you locate CMake or simply click the Search field and type in "CMake". If it exists on your system the CMake program will be found automatically. Notice that when you select CMake in the list of apps, some information about the application is made available to you:

• Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have about CMake, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details about the program you wish to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will come up. accept the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall CMake.


8. After removing CMake, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items of CMake that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling CMake with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your system.

Your system will remain clean, speedy and ready to run without errors or problems.
