A way to uninstall CMake from your system

CMake is a Windows application. Read more about how to remove it from your computer. It was developed for Windows by Kitware. You can find out more on Kitware or check for application updates here. More details about the software CMake can be found at . Usually the CMake program is placed in the C:\Program Files\CMake directory, depending on the user's option during install. You can uninstall CMake by clicking on the Start menu of Windows and pasting the command line MsiExec.exe /X{A507790C-D2D8-4873-896E-DD2A9AE98EB1}. Note that you might get a notification for admin rights. The application's main executable file occupies 7.34 MB (7699456 bytes) on disk and is labeled cmake.exe.

The executables below are part of CMake. They take about 40.68 MB (42659840 bytes) on disk.

A way to remove CMake from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

CMake is a program offered by Kitware. Some computer users decide to erase it. This is difficult because performing this by hand takes some know-how regarding removing Windows applications by hand. The best QUICK way to erase CMake is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your PC, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and all around tool to take care of your system.

  • download the setup by clicking on the DOWNLOAD button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful package of utilities.

3. Press the General Tools button

4. Activate the Uninstall Programs feature

5. A list of the applications existing on your computer will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find CMake or simply click the Search feature and type in "CMake". If it is installed on your PC the CMake app will be found automatically. Notice that when you click CMake in the list of apps, the following information regarding the application is available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This tells you the opinion other users have regarding CMake, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the app you want to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will show up. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove CMake.

8. After uninstalling CMake, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Press Next to perform the cleanup. All the items that belong CMake which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing CMake with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your PC.

Your PC will remain clean, speedy and able to serve you properly.
