How to uninstall CMake from your computer

CMake is a computer program. CMake installs the following the executables on your PC, occupying about 42.17 MB (44220416 bytes) on disk.

  • cmake-gui.exe (18.57 MB)
  • cmake.exe (7.51 MB)
  • cmcldeps.exe (801.00 KB)
  • cpack.exe (7.32 MB)

A way to erase CMake with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

CMake is an application offered by Kitware. Sometimes, users choose to erase this application. This is efortful because doing this by hand requires some experience regarding Windows internal functioning. The best SIMPLE way to erase CMake is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your system, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is one of the best uninstaller and all around tool to maximize the performance of your system.

  • download the setup by clicking on the DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful package of tools.

3. Press the General Tools button

4. Click on the Uninstall Programs tool

5. All the programs installed on your PC will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find CMake or simply activate the Search field and type in "CMake". The CMake application will be found automatically. Notice that after you click CMake in the list of programs, the following data regarding the program is available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This tells you the opinion other people have regarding CMake, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the application you want to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will appear. Confirm the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall CMake.

8. After removing CMake, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items that belong CMake which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling CMake using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your system.

Your Windows computer will remain clean, speedy and able to take on new tasks.
