A way to uninstall Autodesk ReCap from your system

Autodesk ReCap is a Windows application. Several files, folders and Windows registry data will not be removed when you remove Autodesk ReCap from your PC.

The files below are left behind on your disk by Autodesk ReCap's application uninstaller when you removed it:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.Search_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\AppIconCache\100\G__Program Files_Autodesk_Autodesk ReCap_ReCap_exe

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be removed; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\8E5C419800003301102082119A2DE682
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{CF66BFA3-1B48-3CB1-9226-FBFA1850C192}

Use regedit.exe to remove the following additional values from the Windows Registry:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\8E5C419800003301102082119A2DE682\ProductName

How to uninstall Autodesk ReCap from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Autodesk ReCap is a program by the software company Autodesk, Inc.. Frequently, people try to remove this program. Sometimes this is efortful because removing this by hand requires some advanced knowledge related to PCs. One of the best EASY action to remove Autodesk ReCap is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:

• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs button


5. A list of the programs existing on the computer will appear

6. Navigate the list of programs until you locate Autodesk ReCap or simply activate the Search feature and type in "Autodesk ReCap". If it is installed on your PC the Autodesk ReCap app will be found very quickly. Notice that after you click Autodesk ReCap in the list , the following data about the application is shown to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other users have about Autodesk ReCap, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the app you wish to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will show up. accept the uninstall by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove Autodesk ReCap.


8. After uninstalling Autodesk ReCap, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong Autodesk ReCap that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing Autodesk ReCap using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your disk.

Your Windows computer will remain clean, speedy and able to take on new tasks.
