How to uninstall Arduino from your system

A way to uninstall Arduino from your PC with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Arduino is an application by the software company Arduino Srl. Some people want to erase this application. Sometimes this is difficult because removing this by hand requires some experience regarding Windows program uninstallation. One of the best QUICK practice to erase Arduino is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here are some detailed instructions about how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your system, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and general utility to clean your system.

  • download the setup by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and number of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good package of tools.

3. Press the General Tools category

4. Activate the Uninstall Programs feature

5. A list of the programs installed on your computer will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find Arduino or simply activate the Search field and type in "Arduino". If it exists on your system the Arduino application will be found very quickly. Notice that when you click Arduino in the list of apps, the following information regarding the program is made available to you:


  • Star rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other users have regarding Arduino, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the app you wish to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

  • The web site of the application is: http://www.arduino.org
  • The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files\Arduino\uninst.exe
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will show up. accept the uninstall by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove Arduino.

8. After uninstalling Arduino, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong Arduino which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them.
